Welcome to Katy Veterinary Clinic, the best vet clinic in Katy, TX. We are a small-animal, full-service veterinary hospital and pet care clinic in Katy, TX. Our doors were first opened to the public in 1964. For more than 50 years, we've provided exceptional veterinary services to customers throughout the area. When it comes to outstanding veterinary care, we are the first choice for dog and cat owners in the West Houston area. We have many long-term staff members; most of us have been serving the local area's pets and families for multiple decades. We love our job and truly enjoy getting to know our clients and their four-legged family members.
Keeping pets of all kinds healthy and happy is our mission. Pet ownership is a delight and a responsibility, and our team is here to help you with both every step of the way. We offer:
- Expert pet health care. We have six skilled and compassionate veterinarians on staff in our clinic and animal hospital, including surgical vets who provide more specialized care. Our staff also includes experienced and capable technicians who are prepared to handle any issue, big or small.
- Wellness care. Our puppy wellness and kitten wellness clinic is unmatched in the area. We work hard to make you and your pet comfortable while visiting our office for wellness visits.
- Emergency care. Pet problems don't always wait for weekdays and mornings. We see our clients’ emergencies during business hours, yet refer all emergencies to the local specialty/emergency clinics between 5PM and 8AM. See Contact Us Page for Details.
- Bathing and boarding services. Our team keeps pets looking great, safe, and happy while you're away.

Our spotty was elderly and he got to a point where the best decision was for him to no longer suffer. He went peacefully on a blanky laid out for him with me petting him until he was gone. It was so hard but they made it so special that we were able to be with him and say our goodbyes. We usually take our pets to low cost vaccinations and normally only go to the vet only when there is a problem. “After my dog suddenly fell ill and became paralyzed on a Friday night, I called every local vet clinic and not one would see her until Monday except for Katy Veterinary Clinic and they told me to not wait and to get her there as quickly as I could. Once upon arrival they had people waiting and everything in order to do testing and get fluids into her while they got results. They were patient with me and thorough without family dog,They treated her and gave her meds and within hours she was back to her normal self but she would not have lasted till Monday if it wasn’t for them. A few days passed and they reached out to me to check on my dog and make sure I was doing my pet to continue her treatment. I had to put Jaxson down on Tuesday, my best friend of 13.5 years. Dr Barra is AMAZING. She had been taking care of Jaxson for 10+ years. No words can express how incredibly grateful I am for her. She made the entire experience, from finding out what was wrong to the actual euthanasia process, as best as it could be. I am so grateful for you Dr Barra. Excellent clinic, staff are great. Spoke with vet over the phone and was asked a lot of questions so they could really get to know my dog and his habits. Explained every step, answered everything and was done fairly quickly given the exam, call and follow up. Best part is my dog is already showing improvement that we have struggled with for months. Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness. We have the most amazing little dog Smokey that is unfortunately in heart failure stages and has fluid filled lungs. I recently retired from the Military and moved to Texas. We were having difficulty in transferring my dogs prescriptions and files from another state with such a short suspense. We were lucky to find this office that helped us with no issues. During our situation this entire staff has been nothing but outstanding with the management and progression of our little guys conditions. My wife has contacted them numerous times by phone for information and advice and they are always friendly and very knowledgeable.
